What you need to know

My client in the Plastics industry is looking to recruit an Automation Technician to join their expanding team. This role is located in Co. Longford.

4 shift cycle (12 hour shifts)

This is a permanent job with company benefits.

 

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot systems, vacuum circuits, digital multi-meter, machine documentation.

  • Mechanical drawings, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics

  • Maintain automation equipment

  • Assist in production start ups and changeovers

  • Leveling/squaring automation & robot heads, centering mechanicalcomponents, making stroke adjustments.

  • Modify axes points

  • Changes in programming

  • Repair mechanical & electrical components

  • Assist various departments with installation of new jobs.

 

What are we looking for?

  • 3rd Level qualification in Engineering or related discipline

  • Experience working as an Automation Technician

  • Overall mechanical & electrical understanding

  • Ability to learn injection moulding equipment, assembly processes & auxiliary equipment.

  • Knowledge of PLC controlled machines.

  • Computer/IT Skills/MS Office applications
