What you need to know

You will work as an Automation Engineer for our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Wexford.

You will report into the Engineering Manager and work very closely with the Mechanical Engineers.

This is a permanent job with an attractive salary and benefits package on offer.

There will be opportunity for progression as the Automation Team expands.

Your new job

This is a site wide role which will require strong technical leadership and networking.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Identify processes that lend themselves towards automation

  • Provide solutions to drive productivity, reduce downtime, and increase product quality

  • Develop concepts, proposals, and specification for automation projects

  • Build, install and commission automation equipment

  • Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP and regulatory standards

  • Provide day to date technical support for automated systems and root cause failure analysis

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering

  • Strong mix of hardware and software capabilities required

  • Relevant experience of industrial control equipment e.g., Rockwell, Beckhoff, Siemens, pclz, Cognex, Mitsubishi etc.

  • Manufacturing or machine building background would be good
