This is a full-time, permanent position offering a hybrid working model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the SME Accounting and Advisory team, overseeing workflow, performance metrics, and staff development.
  • Plan and coordinate the completion of financial statements, management accounts, corporation tax, and VAT submissions.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members to ensure high-quality delivery and professional growth.
  • Manage client communications to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
  • Review and approve team timesheets and client invoicing, monitoring budgets and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support the implementation of improved operational systems and internal processes.
  • Identify additional service opportunities within your client portfolio.
  • Ensure all client assignments are completed ahead of deadlines and meet internal quality standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge to ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards.
  • Report key performance data to senior management and assist with departmental performance goals.

What are we looking for?
  • Professional qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CPA (essential).
  • Minimum 4 years’ post-qualification experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of accounting standards (FRS 102, IFRS) and auditing practices.
  • Strong understanding of Irish tax compliance and experience with tax and audit engagements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience training and supervising a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work within budgets, and deliver on KPIs.
  • A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
