Matrix Recruitment is seeking candidates for a Senior Process Engineer for our manufacturing client in Wexford Town
(Permanent Role / Onsite)
In this role, you'll lead cross-functional engineering projects, drive process improvements, and support new product development in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Your New Role
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end delivery of process and capital projects – from planning to execution and commissioning.
Collaborate across engineering, operations, and R&D teams to implement new processes and improve existing ones.
Act as the process engineering expert in key areas like filtration, blending, and separation.
Lead sustainability initiatives related to energy and utility efficiency.
Provide technical support to troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions.
Drive technology transfer and scale-up from development to production.
Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards.
What You Need:
Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
5+ years’ experience in a high-volume, regulated environment (ideally food, beverage, distilling) manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of chemical processes- distillation, filtration, separation, heating/cooling impacts, and ability to troubleshoot these processes.
Able to read and interpret P&ID / process drawings from a design perspective.
Familiar with process control/automation (PLCs, SCADA – Allen Bradley preferred) and ATEX/process safety regulations.
Experience managing capital/process improvement projects, contractors, and suppliers.
