What you need to know

Reporting to the Managing Directorthe Warehouse Manager will play a key role in ensuring theoperations of an efficient warehouse, overseeing all aspects of inventory management, safety, efficiency, team leadership, and overall warehouse excellence.

The Warehouse Manager will lead, direct, and oversee the warehouse and logistics function . This will suit an experienced Warehouse Managerwith at least 3 + years' experience managing a large warehouse .

This job is based in Co. Roscommon. This is a permanent job based.

Key duties & responsibilities: 

  •  Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimise errors and losses.

  • Conduct regular audits and stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Plan and organise stock items to support on-site teams and production.

  • Ensure shipping schedules meet company and customer requirements.

  • Maintain and update related documentation in compliance with quality standards, ensuring the quality and integrity of the stock at all times.

  • Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

  • Coordinate the allocation of space for products and ensure proper organisation.

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving and distribution of stock, deliveries, and efficient dispatch.

  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.

  • Schedule and assign tasks to maximise productivity and meet operational goals.

  • Conduct daily and weekly team briefs and lead performance improvement plans.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality standards.

  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ideally 3 years’ experiencein warehouse management, inventory control, and team leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field ideal

  • Must be proficient in IT and experience using a warehouse management system.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Leadership qualities with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams.

  • Adaptable and able to handle a fast-paced, challenging environment.

  • Proactive and result-driven approach, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
