Our client who are a leader in the Plastics Manufacturing sector and are based in County Westmeath, are seeking a Toolmaker to join their team. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager on site, and your focus will be on producing production ready moulds and fixtures for the Production department.

This role is a permanent opportunity and will operate on a Four-cycle shift pattern. Benefits included in the role are Employer pension and private medical insurance.

Your new job

Duties and responsibilities

• Carry out precision machining of component parts, tools, and fixture.

• Operate and carry out Programming of CNC and manual machine tools.

• Repair and maintain blow moulds and ancillary equipment.

• Fit an assemble parts to make, repair or modify dies, jigs, gauges and tools using machine and hand tools.

• Involvement in continuous improvement activities, new product introduction projects and troubleshooting problems in production.

• Adherence to health and safety standards.

What are we looking for?

• A relevant Toolmaking qualification

• Exposure to programming and operating CNC machinery.

• A proactive attitude with good exposure to meeting manufacturing targets.
