My client, in the healthcare sector, is looking to recruit a Temporary Senior Pharmacist for their facility in the Dublin 2.

This is a temporary contract job (4-8 weeks)

This role is full time onsite Monday to Friday

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the efficient running of the dispensary.

• Supervise and supply of medicines and pharmaceuticals.

• Participate in the development and expansion of ward pharmacy.

• Ensure that the purchase, storage and supply of all medicines is operated in the most cost-effective manner

• Maintain records for purchasing and quality control

• Provide advice as required to medical and nursing staff

• Participation in policy development to ensure adherence to best practice in medicines use

• Participation in the teaching and training (including in-service training) of pharmacy and other staff as may be required.

What are we looking for?

• Be a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered

And

• Have at least three years satisfactory post registration hospital experience

And

• Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

• Sharp analytical skills and scientific aptitude

• Conscientious, motivated and willing to learn

• Have excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure

• Experience in patient information / education

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
