​What are we looking for

My client a healthcare distribution company is looking to hire a Supply Chain/Operations Supervisor. This is an Irish company who are continuing to gain market share right across Europe.

This is a new job based in Co. Offaly reporting into the Operations Director. The Supply Chain/Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the management of all warehousing, logistics & customer service activities across the business. This is great job opportunity to work in a positive work environment, show initiative and drive change.

Your new job

Some of the key duties:

  • Responsible for Warehousing, logistics and distribution.

  • Customer Services Management

  • Capacity planning to meet customer demands.

  • Managing operations processes, developing new process design, planning, control, performance improvement and operations strategy.

  • Oversee and management of a team.

  • Manage any complaints/issues/non-conformances, ensuring such instances are rectified and closed-out in a timely and professional manner.

  • Analyse the capacity of resources including equipment and labour to ensure products are dispatched in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Drive continuous improvement in some of the following operating costs, warehousing, stock, distribution, and quality etc.

  • Setting, Maintaining and Reporting on Department performance metrics and work processes.

  • Provide leadership, drive, and deliver on strategy.

  • Working with all members of team to maintain and develop the positive progressive culture within the Company.

What are we looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.

  • 6 years of relevant work experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics planning.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)

  • People management experience.

  • Experience collaborating effectively with cross functional teams with excellent communication skills.
