My client a Large Food Manufacturing Group have an exciting job opportunity for a Site Accountant. This job will work at one of their sites based in Co. Leitrim

As the Accountant you will report into Group Financial Accountant and work with a finance team in the preparation of weekly/monthly accounts, stock control and sales analysis, and project work. This a great opportunity for someone newly or nearly qualified looking to progress their accounting career in a fast-paced environment.

This is a permanent job with hybrid working available.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts

• Preparation of weekly KPI’s.

• Stock Control analysis and overhead reviews.

• Preparation of month end reports for senior management.

• Assist with the timely completion of Year-end audits and liaising with external auditors

• Prepare cost and efficiency KPI reports to assist management in key decision making

• Variance analysis against budgets, standards, and projections

• Support cost reduction programmes.

• Ad Hoc Project work.

Education and Experience

• Newly Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA and CIMA) with a minimum of 2 -3 years’ accounting experience.

• Strong Excel and experience with accounting IT system.

• Experience within a manufacturing environment or accounting practice is desirable.  

• Excellent communication and organisation skills

• Strong technical accounting skills

• The ability to deliver in an efficient manner to tight deadlines

• Must be able to work on own initiative.
