Matrix Recruitment is seeking a Senior Utilities Engineer for our manufacturing client based in South Tipperary.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, supporting engineering and operations with a strong focus on utilities, asset management, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Your New Role
Key Responsibilities:
Utilities Leadership – Lead day-to-day utilities maintenance and operations, ensuring plant reliability and performance.
Compliance & Safety – Ensure full adherence to environmental, safety, and quality legislation, standards, and certifications.
Asset & Reliability Improvement – Develop and implement planned and predictive maintenance systems, driving efficiency and uptime.
Problem Solving & Projects – Lead root cause analysis, utilities improvement initiatives, and support capital projects and upgrades.
What You Need
Degree-qualified Engineer (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Energy, Chemical or similar).
5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or utilities environment, with technical leadership exposure.
Strong knowledge of utilities systems – steam, combustion, thermal oil, rotating equipment, effluent treatment.
Proven ability in problem-solving, continuous improvement, and Lean principles within a 24/7 operation.
