Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Senior IT Project Engineer for our client, based in the Tipperary area.

This is a permanent day’s role.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Documentation of Client Networks

• SME within project service delivery

• Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to ensure task completion.

• Take ownership and responsibility for a quality customer centric solution.

• Detail oriented in performing technical tasks.

• Ability to work to deadlines and project deliverables.

• Self-motivated, reliable with the ability to escalate an issue to other SMEs within Company.

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies through Company’s continual commitment to career progression, ongoing training, and professional development.

• Ability to articulate technical information clearly and simply to non-technical stakeholders.

• Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative or part of a team as required by the project.

What are we looking for?

Server

Configure, troubleshoot, and manage Windows server OS, perform migrations from legacy server OS to latest editions. Ability to perform migrations of servers including Microsoft roles such as AD, DHCP, DNS, FSMO, File & Print, cert services etc.

Perform migrations of Remote Desktop Services and third-party applications, troubleshoot third party applications, and assist vendors/clients with same.

Virtualization

Configure, troubleshoot, and manage vSphere environments including vCentre, ESXi, virtual machines. Capable of performing installation, configuration, and migrations. Preferred certificate VCP 6 upwards.

Networking

Configure, troubleshot, and manage networks. Ability to setup VLANs, configure routing protocols, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP and troubleshot same. Preferred certification CCNP

Ability to configure firewalls, setup policies, implement security guidelines. Setup VPNs site-to-site, user based along with MFA as required. Preferred certificate NSE 4 upwards.

Backup and Disaster Recovery.

Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning and implementation and testing.
