What you need to know
Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior REIF Consultant for our client based in Limerick (Hybrid working model available).
As a member of the Real Estate Department, you will assist in all aspects of the administration for designated funds including client servicing, fund accounting, and financial reporting. The team is a growing team and clients include some of the most highly successful Real Estate houses globally.
This position will be offered on a 12-month contract basis with some possibility of extension / permanency. Hybrid working model available.

Key duties & responsibilities:
Assist with the development and execution of the department’s strategic plans, goals and priorities
Ensuring the members of your team deliver a high quality service to all assigned clients and ensure that the team is seen to support and conform to the regulatory and oversight requirements of our internal clients such as Control, Depository, Compliance.
Play a key senior role and contribute to the management, growth and success of the Real Estate business within the company
Support your team with annual targets of the business including the development and monitoring of the offshore team, the automation of the accounting platform and the take up of EMEA domiciled funds
Assist in the preparation of interim and annual financial statements for Property Funds including the completion of consolidated financial statements for complex cross-border structures
Communicate effectively with clients, investors and associated parties on fund activities
Liaise with clients and external auditors, dealing with audit queries
Liaise with new clients to determine fund structure and level of detail required to support striking of NAV
Oversee the preparation of regulatory returns, including compliance reports, Central Bank and CSO returns
Identify process improvements and strive to ensure all deliverables are done in the most expedient and efficient way possible
Ensure NAV’s are issued accurately and within agreed timeframes
Ensure the accurate and timely payment of operating expenses
Ensure that operating arrangements are clearly established on inception of a fund
Ensures that documentation, legal and compliance issues are complete
Manage the structure of property transactions on behalf of the team
Ensure the process and approvals required meet Client, Depository and REIF requirements
Responsible for ensuring that the collation of documentation / record maintenance is fit for purpose
What are we looking for?
Professional Accounting Qualification with 6 years post QE experience
Strong knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP/US GAAP and IFRS an advantage
Working knowledge of the Irish regulatory /tax regime as it relates to Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting
Demonstrate leadership and team-building qualities with the ability to motivate a team
Ability to participate in systems development projects
Demonstrates commitment to producing high quality work and to timeframes required
Strong knowledge of Excel
Working knowledge of Yardi
