Our client, a modern and fast-growing accountancy firm in Galway, is seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounts Manager to join their leadership team. This is a permanent, full-time role offering strong long-term progression for an ambitious, client-focused professional.
Your New Job-Senior Accountant / Accounts Manager:
You will manage client relationships, lead a team of accountants, and support the strategic growth of the practice. The role combines compliance work with advisory services for a varied client base across Ireland.
Senior Accountant / Accounts Manager Responsibilities:
Client Delivery:

• Prepare and review year-end accounts, management reports, VAT and tax returns

• Advise clients on tax, cash flow, budgeting, and restructuring

• Be the technical expert and first point of contact for client queries

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor junior and intermediate accountants

• Review outputs for accuracy and compliance

• Foster collaboration and continuous learning

Practice Strategy:

• Work with Partners on business development and operational improvements

• Support digital transformation and workflow automation

• Champion cloud accounting tools (e.g. Surf, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified (or equivalent)

• 4+ years’ recent experience in an Irish accountancy practice

• Strong technical knowledge of Irish GAAP and tax is essential

• Experience managing people and clients

• Proficient in cloud and desktop accounting systems

• Commercially aware, organised, and relationship-driven
