We are currently recruiting for a Scrum Master for our client, a global financial services company based in Limerick.

In this position, working with 2 well-established and functioning teams.  There will be an element of client facing responsibilities to this role. This is an established Agile environment.
On the job training will be provided.

This role will suit you if you have previous experience working in a scrum master role.

This is a 12 month contract role with some possibility of extension. The company offers a hybrid working model.

What you will be doing:
  • Work closely with the technology and IT team to collaborate on projects. Ensure strong working relationships with these teams.
  • Facilitate and lead sprint execution including elaborate planning sessions, sprint planning preparation sessions, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Work with the team to identify, review and resolve risks and issues.
  • Resolve any obstacles that are blocking the team from meeting their deliverables and improving processes.
  • Acting in a project manager role for the team and ensure that all work is properly tracked, key stakeholders are well informed of decisions on the team.
  • Ensure that team expenses fall within the expected budget
  • Work with technology to understand release planning, environment outages and availability, and potential other areas impacting teams.
  • Help facilitate open, well informed discussions, and reach decisions.
  • Encourage collaboration and cross-training and act as the bridge for the technology team to understand more about the derivatives business, and vice versa.
  • In collaboration with the team and Product Owner, regularly assess the Agile maturity of the team, analyse improvement opportunities, and implement the improvements at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and the organization

What we are looking for:
  • 1 years’ experience in Scrum Master.
  • Previous experience working in financial services is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Certified Scrum Professional and/or Certified Scrum Master.
  • Practical experience working in an Agile environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and and ability to build strong working relationships and team building.
  • Ability to promote collaboration within and across teams and programs.
  • Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution.
