What you need to know

Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Quality Shift Supervisor for our client, based in the Kilkenny area.

You will be responsible for the management of the QA team and the QC team.

This is a permanent role.

 

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Leading, managing and developing the quality team.

  • Ensure all aspects of production are carried out to quality specifications.

  • Supervise all technical and quality staff.

  • Liaise with customers on product specifications and complaints.

  • Ensure compliance with DAFM,BRC, Bord Bia and customer specifications continually review existing HACCP systems.

  • Ensure compliance with customer standards.

  • Training and supervision of process operatives in relation to quality systems and procedures.

  • Manage customer complaints, investigation and implementation of necessary corrective actions.

  • Monitor production and ensure that quality checks are being carried out.

  • Ensure internal audits are carried out and non-conformances rectified in identified time scales.

  • Keep up to date with food legislation and any changes which affect the company.  

  • Responsible for supervising all checks to ensure that the quality and safety standards BRC, Bord Bia and customer requirements are met constantly and consistently.

  • Deputising in the absence of the Senior Quality Manager.

 

What are we looking for?

  • 3rd  level Qualification is essential- Food Science or related.

  • 2-3 years management experience in Quality within the food industry.

  • Knowledge of all relevant quality standards.

  • Strong communication skills ability to deal with clients & suppliers.

  • Strong people leadership skills.
