What you need to know
My client in the medical device industry is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer for their facility in Galway.
You will provide support and input into the day to day project of a new drug being released. You will work with cross-functional teams in managing this.
This is a 12 month contract job initially
Your New Job
Key duties & responsibilities:
Develop, modify and maintain quality standards and protocol for processing materials
Collaborate with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams
Implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating
Design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment
Conduct quality assurance testing and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost
Ensure corrective measurements are in place
Assist in areas of design, production control and product evaluation
Deliver and oversee the project from design to implementation
What are we looking for?
3rd level qualification in Engineering/Quality or related discipline
At least 1-2 years work experience junior Quality Engineering role
Experience with drug coated devices – advantageous
Ability to work independently and alongside cross-functional teams
Experience in delegating and leading a team
Excellent management/coordination skills
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and decision making
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
