My client in the medical device industry is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer for their facility in Galway.

You will provide support and input into the day to day project of a new drug being released. You will work with cross-functional teams in managing this.

This is a 12 month contract job initially

Your New Job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Develop, modify and maintain quality standards and protocol for processing materials

• Collaborate with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams

• Implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating

• Design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment

• Conduct quality assurance testing and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost

• Ensure corrective measurements are in place

• Assist in areas of design, production control and product evaluation

• Deliver and oversee the project from design to implementation

What are we looking for?

• 3rd level qualification in Engineering/Quality or related discipline

• At least 1-2 years work experience junior Quality Engineering role

• Experience with drug coated devices – advantageous

• Ability to work independently and alongside cross-functional teams

• Experience in delegating and leading a team

• Excellent management/coordination skills

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and decision making

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
