Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Qualified Maintenance Fitter for our Client, based in the Carlow Area.
This is a permanent Role.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Conducting preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and enhance machinery longevity.

• Diagnosing and addressing mechanical issues promptly to prevent production delays.

• Proficiently handling hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, turning, and welding tasks.

• Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance challenges efficiently.

• Executing reactive maintenance tasks with precision and urgency to restore equipment functionality.

• Documenting maintenance activities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What are we looking for?

• Preventative & reactive maintenance experience

• Proven experience in maintenance operations within an industrial setting, preferably in timber processing or related industries.

• Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, turning, and welding techniques.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Willingness to work on a 2-shift rotation schedule.

• Relevant trade certification or vocational training preferred.
