Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Qualified Accountant role for our client, an accountancy practice based in Kilkenny.


In this position, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing comprehensive accounting services, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering tailored accounting services.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts.
  • Prepare VAT, payroll and routine company secretarial returns for your portfolio of clients.
  • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Provide strategic financial advice as required to support your clients to help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

What are we looking for?
  • ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualified, with 3 years+ of experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and auditing standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
