Our client who are based in County Longford are see a Quality Assurance Manager to join their team.

Having a tenured and successful background in the food manufacturing industry they are a seeking an experienced QA professional to assist in the daily functioning of quality on site.

You will be a key figure in managing the QMS system and be proactive in continual improvement.

The role will be on a Monday to Friday basis running from Monday to Thursday 9-5:30 with a 5PM finish on a Friday.

Your new job

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with supplier monitoring and control procedures.

• Completion of customer specifications, questionnaires, and tender documents.

• Completion of internal audits such as traceability and fabrication and follow up on any corrective actions.

• Assist in new product development.

• Ensure calibration of all measuring equipment is carried out.

• Involvement in Training of staff in food safety procedures.

• Assist in customer queries and complaint resolution.

• Manage implementation and maintenance of QMS and HACCP Systems on site.

What are we looking for?

• A degree in food science or a related discipline

• Have senior QA experience in a food manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge on auditing for retailers, BRC standards and HACCP.

• Competent IT Skills.
