Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator for our client based in County Offaly who specialises within the Healthcare Distribution Industry. Our client is currently expanding and experiencing an exciting period of growth and innovation within the healthcare industry. With new opportunities on the horizon and significant advancement in projects and capabilities they are now looking to expand their team.
The Purchasing Administrator, will play a key role having full responsibility of product planning, purchasing and inventory management, including regular stock reviews and ensuring minimum and maximum levels are maintained.
This is a permanent position.
Your new job
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Full responsibility & accountability of product planning and purchasing while monitoring min/max levels on all stock on an ongoing basis with a full review monthly on customer demand/forecast .
Raising monthly Purchase Orders for all Irish & UK suppliers and entering service invoices onto their database.
Liaisng with the sales team on high value consumable stock still in stores.
Keep track of purchasing spends in accordance with the set budget, ensuring to highlight to management when spend will exceed monthly budget.
Monitor credit limits to ensure no supplier puts the client on hold and advising suppliers of any discrepancies with deliveries or prices and requesting credit notes when required.
Ensure up to date CE Certs and Data Sheets are on file for suppliers and products.
Assist the Supply Chain Manager in sourcing new suppliers for existing products or new projects when required.
Support the Quality Team in any amendments to procedure paperwork.
What are we looking for?
Relevant qualification in Business/Supply Chain/Finance is essential.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in product planning or purchasing is essential.
A strong sense of time and task management and have excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
Candidate must be flexible to the needs of the business and can work in a dynamic environment.
Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email applications.
