​Matrix Recruitment is working with our client, who are a healthcare distribution company to hire a Purchasing Administrator to join their team in Co. Offaly.

As a Purchasing Administrator, you will be responsible for all product planning and purchasing. You will also be responsible for stock management, monitoring budgets and purchasing spend while liaising with the sales and management teams.

Your new job

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with purchasing for the company and work closely with the Purchasing Manager.

  • Management of stock levels daily ensuring there are no stock shortages and highlighting any excess stock. 

  • Responsible for the monthly Purchase orders for both Irish and UK suppliers. 

  • Dealing with Purchase Orders and checking against supplier invoices and entering all invoices. 

  • Monitoring supplier prices and tracking spends on a weekly basis to highlight any potential issues to management. 

  • Monitoring budgets and purchasing spend to ensure budget is not exceeded.

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Supply Chain administrative role is essential.

  • Previous experience in a supply chain or logistics background is essential. 

  • Proficient in Exchequer and stock management systems is desirable. 

  • Good communication skills. 

  • Time Management skills and ability to work effectively in a team. 

  • Problem solving skills and ability to work off own initiative.
