Matrix Recruitment is working with our client, a highly successful and well-established manufacturing company in Co. Cavan to hire a Production Team Leader to join their team.

As a Production Team Leader, you will ensure that the team operates to maximum efficiency while prioritising safety and quality. You will overseepeople and production managementin a safe, clean working environment. 

This is a great opportunity to join an established company in a fast-paced environment to learn and grow their knowledge in the food industry. You will be reporting directly to the Production supervisor.

This is a permanent role with a competitive salary and additional benefits. 

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities include: 

• Adhering to all relevant Health & safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

• Oversee production management in a safe, clean working environment.

• Ensure production targets are met and exceeded by organisation, timely material delivery and cross training for operational effectiveness.

• Monitoring Time & Attendance for Payroll.

• Managing the team through motivation, engagement, and communication of operators. 

• Ability to follow production schedules and solve problems as they arise. 

• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure all issues are dealt with and targets achieved in a timely manner

What are we looking for?

• Education to Leaving Cert or equivalent. Further training an advantage.

• 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Keen understanding of the importance of Health & safety, quality and on time delivery

• Track record in achieving targets.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Problem solving and solution focused
