What you need to know
A leading multinational that provides innovative products and services to many of the world’s largest medical devices and pharmaceutical companies is currently looking to add a Production Supervisor to its team in Co. Offaly.
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations on-site to ensure company goals are consistently met regarding safety, quality, delivery and cost.
The role will require you to take a proactive approach to supervising, training and developing personnel to ensure work instructions are followed and maintained in line with global, local and customer requirements.
This is a permanent role with an excellent salary and package that includes 25 days annual leave, company pension, bonus, life assurance, healthcare and training and development opportunities.
Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
Take ownership of the Plant SQDC boards and lead daily PIT meetings.
Process all Customer’s products in line with special instructions and processing parameters.
Conduct daily handovers ensuring all relevant records and standards are adhered.
Maintain and constantly improve the Site 5S Standards throughout the shift.
Lead and motivate your team, ensuring that instructions given are communicated clearly.
To ensure that all tasks are performed in line with safety and environmental risks, maintaining equipment and wearing protective clothing as appropriate.
Assist with the required training standards and plans.
Record and report lateness, absence and underperformance.
Provide constructive feedback to operators, resulting in consistent feedback through performance evaluations.
Assign jobs/tasks to all employees on shift accordingly.
Oversee strict adherence to Site GMP and maintaining Quality Standards
Assist the quality team in incidents (non-conformance, damage, etc.) / root cause analysis investigations.
Identified safety concerns to be recorded using site procedures and relay issues to the EHS team.
Ensure all staff are wearing appropriate PPE throughout the shift.
Ensure any safety data sheets are reviewed and acted on accordingly.
Conduct and report regular safety checks.
What are we looking for?
A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a supervisory role. Ideally in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
A strong track record of leading teams within a manufacturing environment
Ability to train, develop and mentor employees.
Proven track record of improving performance and meeting ambitious operational KPIs.
Technical aptitude and knowledge of continuous process improvement techniques.
Qualification in a technical/supervisory discipline an advantage but not essential
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational, verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent personnel management skills and the ability to lead, motivate and coach staff under your guidance.
Tactful individual who can manage challenging personnel issues and always acts with impartiality and integrity.
Proficient with MS Office suite.
