Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Production Operator for our Client, based in the Wexford Area.

This is a Permanent Role.

 

Your new job

This position will perform a wide variety of tasks in the overall operation of the plant using Company Quality system guidelines to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.  These tasks will be in materials handling, mixing, filling and labelling areas. These will require a level of computer literacy, mechanical aptitude, and physical effort. This position may be required to work on a shift pattern. 

 

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Perform production activities for equipment set up, package filling and labelling, and records retention using Quality System guidelines in order to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Prepare all equipment used in the manufacturing process prior to use in order to ensure smooth, sanitary and safe operation.

  • Operate various machines a needed in order to ensure proper packaging of ingredients.

  • Maintain the plant’s manufacturing equipment in sanitary condition according to Company GMP policies and procedures in order to assure the quality of the manufactured product.

  • Perform final quality check/inspection for accuracy and visible damage prior to shipment to customer.

  • Safeguard Company trademarks that standardize and protect all information surrounding confidential ingredients and flavours manufactured by The Company in order to prevent breach of trademark security within the Company.

  • Protect all intellectual property, information and technology surrounding confidential processes and products using established legal safeguards in order to prevent a breach of trademark security within the Company.

What are we looking for?

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent.

  • 3+ years’ experience in Food/Beverage/Pharma environment.

  • Good mechanical aptitude.

  • Aptitude for operating machinery and equipment.

  • Aptitude for computers and demonstrated computer literacy.

  • Demonstrated experience in team-based environment.

  • Organised, methodical, tidy and the ability to work in a controlled and structured way.

  • Quality focused and excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent problem solving and solid judgement skills.

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Fork truck experience is desirable.
