​What you need to know

Our client, a well-known Irish but global environmental company is currently seeking to recruit a Production Manager for their site based in Co. Offaly.

This is permanent position, working week Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.

The Production Manager will report to the Thermal Manager.

Your new job

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Renewable Energy portfolio focusing on optimizing and enhancing the availability and efficiency of power-generating assets.

  • Oversee and guide the operations of the power plant in collaboration with the Maintenance teams, adhering to the customer’s directives.

  • When needed, fulfil the responsibilities of a Wind Farms Operational Controller - planning and reporting on operations, managing materials logistics, and overseeing management duties.

  • Ensure that all tasks are performed safely, cost-effectively, and in compliance with the plant's environmental and design constraints.

  • Ensure material management, purchasing, and contracts meet company standards and support operations within budget.

  • Implement the Renewable Energy Business Management System.

  • Create and execute a long-term resource plan through 2030 and beyond for the operations team.

  • Comply with Health & Safety measures.

  • Participate in the Performance Management to achieve both individual and team objectives effectively.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a comparable position.

  • Proficiency in Steam Boiler and Steam Turbine plant operations.

  • Strong capabilities in managing personnel.
