Our client, a very successful and innovative company based in Athlone are looking to hire Payroller/Accounts Assistant.
The Payroller/Accounts Assistant, will be responsible for monthly payroll processing in a timely and accurate manner. You will also work with the finance team in accounts receivable/payable and month end duties.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract. Hybrid working available with this job.

Key duties & responsibilities:
Preparation and completing of monthly payroll process for over 200 staff
Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in payroll records
Responsible for dealing with tax queries, holidays, pensions etc.
Ensure compliance with PAYE, PRSI and BIK
Adheres to payroll policies and procedures
Provide month end payroll reports to the Finance and Department Managers team
Assist in the processing of accounts receivable/accounts payable
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with monthly management accounts
What are we looking for?
IPASS or Accounting Technician or part qualified accountant
You must have 3+ years’ work experience in payroll processing and accounting duties preferably within a large company
Experience using Micropay and Sage is a distinct advantage
Proficient in Excel and MS office
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Have the capability to deal with and solve problems and issues in the correct manner
