What you need to know
We are currently seeking an Accounting Technician / PQ Accountant for our client based in Tullow, Co. Carlow.
This is a permanent, part-time role with 20-22 hours per week. Flexibility around start and finish times. Possibility of some hybrid working once training and induction is completed.
Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
Weekly stock reconciliations and stock purchase reconciliations.
Monthly bank reconciliations.
Quarterly payroll reconciliations.
Monthly sales and debtors reporting.
Updating fixed asset register.
Keying journals and brining accounts to trial balance stage.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Assisting in audit preparation.
Ad hoc finance reporting.
Process improvement projects.
Cover for payroll processing 250 staff.
What are we looking for?
Accounting technician qualification / part-qualified / newly qualified accountant.
Experience working in a busy, fast paced organisation.
Self-starter who can work on their own initiative and works well as part of a team.
Strong IT skills and good knowledge of Microsoft applications in particular Excel.
Experience using Sage 50 Accounts, Micropay professional payroll, Kelio time and attendance.
