What you need to know
We are currently seeking an Accounting Technician / PQ Accountant for our client based in Tullow, Co. Carlow.
This is a permanent, part-time role with 20-22 hours per week. Flexibility around start and finish times. Possibility of some hybrid working once training and induction is completed.
Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
 

  • Weekly stock reconciliations and stock purchase reconciliations.

  • Monthly bank reconciliations.

  • Quarterly payroll reconciliations.

  • Monthly sales and debtors reporting.

  • Revenue returns.

  • Updating fixed asset register.

  • Keying journals and brining accounts to trial balance stage.

  • Balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Assisting in audit preparation.

  • Ad hoc finance reporting.

  • Process improvement projects.

  • Cover for payroll processing 250 staff.


What are we looking for?

  • Accounting technician qualification / part-qualified / newly qualified accountant.

  • Experience working in a busy, fast paced organisation.

  • Self-starter who can work on their own initiative and works well as part of a team.

  • Strong IT skills and good knowledge of Microsoft applications in particular Excel.

  • Experience using Sage 50 Accounts, Micropay professional payroll, Kelio time and attendance.
