Would you be interested in working only 4 days per week and getting paid for 5 days?

If so, my client, based in Athlone, Co. Westmeath is looking to recruit an Office Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Daily/weekly working hours are flexible – can be discussed

As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the running of the office including staffing issues, equipment and building facilities. 

The Office Manager will act as the Managing Partner’s first point of contact and will support employees internally.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Manage all staffing matters, including recruitment and onboarding of new employees.

  • Coordinate and prepare meetings and internal staffing meetings as required.

  • Produce and analyse weekly and monthly financial reports.

  • Supervise payroll administration and resolve related queries.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for staff and external service providers, including IT support, case management systems, printing services, telecommunications, mobile providers, and maintenance contractors.

  • Provide administrative support across the office when necessary.

  • Oversee facilities management, ensuring any building or maintenance issues are promptly addressed and resolved.

  • Maintain and track Undertakings and Statute of Limitations deadlines to ensure compliance.

  • Coordinate and manage annual financial audits

  • Organise and oversee annual staff performance appraisals, staff leave & sick leave records

  • Liaise with pension providers to manage employee pension schemes.

  • Oversee marketing activities, including advertising, promotional initiatives, and social media presence.


What are we looking for?

  • At least 3 years + working as an Office Manager

  • Office management experience in the legal sector preferable

  • 3rd level qualification in Business or related discipline

  • Excellent administrative & IT skills i.e. MS Office applications

  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and organise tasks efficiently

  • Must work independently and on own initiative.

  • Work collaboratively with the team and delegate responsibilities effectively.
