Your New Job:
As Sales Engineer, you’ll be responsible for driving the sales of bespoke technical systems and solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, manage project implementation, and regularly engage with both new and existing customers. The role involves direct client interaction, a mix of technical detail, and active involvement with cross-functional teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell specialised technical systems and solutions.
- Identify client needs, develop tailored solution proposals, and deliver quotations in collaboration with engineers.
- Oversee and implement various customer projects.
- Liaise frequently with internal engineering teams for project delivery.
- Gather and communicate technical requirements and deliverables for each project.
- Meet with customers to understand requirements and explore new business opportunities.
- Attend industry events to grow your network and generate leads.
- (Optional) Utilise programming/commissioning/support skills, if applicable.
What Are We Looking For?
- HETAC Level 8 qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Automation, or similar).
- At least 5 years of experience in technical sales or a customer-facing engineering role.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Background in industrial image processing.
- Knowledge of robotics, MedTech, or mechanical engineering is a plus.
- Confident communicator who is self-driven, resilient, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Full driver’s licence and your own car.
