What you need to know

My client, a well-established Irish owned company that has built up a long-standing entity in Co. Offaly is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

 

In this role you will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager, and you will be responsible for ensuring that the plant is meeting maintenance orientated targets.

 

This role is a permanent position and is based on a day shift, Monday to Friday basis. The hours consist of 9-5:30.

 

Your new job

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead the team of Maintenance Technicians and give appropriate direction.

  • Cross communicate with other plant teams to achieve the plant objectives.

  • Ensure that maintenance plans and targets are being met.

  • Maintain a system which in turn maintains maintenance tasks.

  • Involvement in new system testing and training.

  • Procurement of parts and services to ensure long term availability and efficiency.

  • Carry out fault finding and diagnosis.

 

What are we looking for?

  • A degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical Engineering

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Mechanical Engineering position

  • Knowledge of maintenance management system

  • Experience in the planning of preventative maintenance and reporting

  • Experience leading a team of Technician and giving direction in day-to day duties.
