What you need to know
A leading engineering firm in the midlands that provides commissioning management services and solutions to some of Ireland and Europe’s most prestigious mission-critical projects is currently an experienced, committed and technically strong Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join its team.
As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to clients to ensure that all equipment and facilities are installed correctly and operate efficiently and safely.
The company have grown exponentially since its inception and has a strong pipeline of projects in Ireland and Europe that will offer ambitious Mechanical Commissioning Engineer the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects that will accelerate their career.
Your new job
Duties & responsibilities:
Experience working on data centre mechanical systems including Chillers, HVAC systems, CRACs, CRAHs, CHW distribution systems, fire suppression and sprinkler systems.
Strong knowledge in L3/L4/L5 commissioning. Managing and executing L3 commissioning with vendors, develop L4 scripts and executing scripts and develop L5 scripts and executing L5 IST testing.
Technical competence to understand and troubleshoot mechanical issues and participate in the IRL process.
Participate in/manage commissioning meetings and issue meeting minutes.
Always represent the company on projects professionally.
What are we looking for?
Hold a level 8 degree in Mechanical Engineering or another similar discipline. A Trade qualification will also be considered with suitable experience.
Previous Data Centre commissioning experience is essential.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence others positively.
Proficiency in computer systems including commissioning software (e.g., Compass, BIM 360, Facility Grid etc.), Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent team player who works well in multidisciplinary teams and with vendors to achieve project goals.
Results-driven individual who has a strong track record of delivering projects on time, on budget and to the required quality standards.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks.
Strong attention to detail and the capability to analyse information quickly and accurately.
Comfortable managing internal and external stakeholders.
Must be willing to travel to European countries and have the right to work in them.
