What you need to know

Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a- Manufacturing Engineer (Shift) for our client, based in Waterford.

This is a permanent role, working within process engineering on a shift basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Guide mechanical and control-related issues to empower our teams.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Six Sigma analysis and actions for better business metrics.

  • Team Leadership: Drive equipment performance through shift Tier meetings.

  • Collaboration: Efficiently allocate resources in alignment with priorities.

  • Maintenance Coordination: Oversee planned and unplanned maintenance during your shift.

  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, collaborating with Line Engineers.

  • Quality Focus: Support NC/CAPA investigations as needed.

  • Change Control: Implement improvements with established procedures.

  • Communication: Present technical data for audits and inspections when necessary.

  • Safety: Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations for all.

  • Documentation: Develop engineering documentation, including work instructions and SOPs.

Requirements:

  • Education: Level 8 Engineering Degree (Electronic or Mechanical preferred).

  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role.

  • Understanding of PLC/Controls.

  • Experience: Relevant experience in high-volume manufacturing.

  • Six Sigma: Prior Six Sigma experience is a plus.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with controls and automated systems.

  • Project Management: Experience in project and vendor management is desirable.

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in medical device/pharmaceutical environment preferred.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills.
