What you need to know

Our client based in County Offaly who are leading manufacturer in the Medical Device sector are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their existing manufacturing team.

In this role you will be reporting to the Technical Manager, and you will be responsible for the maintenance of the production machinery on-site. Ensuring that all Maintenance work carried out is in line with GMP requirements.

This is a permanent role the potential candidate will be required to work 12 hour shifts on a day basis. There is a shift allowance in place to cater for the potential candidate doing 12 hour shifts. Additional to mention that there are benefits such as Employer Pension and a Healthcare Allowance included in the package for this role.

 

Your new job

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair, electromechanical production equipment and systems.

  • Order inventory items, stock parts and record transactions in inventory database

  • Calibrate, adjust, and repair processing equipment.

  • Awareness of local building, electrical and safety codes ensuring that all repairs and modifications are in accordance to this.

  • Adherence to GMP and other regulatory standards.

  • Ensure that the companies health and safety regulations are being adhered to.

What are we looking for?

  • Maintenance/Electrical orientated trade certificate

  • Ideally 3 years’ experience as a Fitter/Technician/Industrial Electrician in a Manufacturing environment

  • Exposure to PLC/computer-controlled equipment is an ideal advantage.

  • Computer literate exposure to using Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Email.

  • Exposure to using Auto CAD would be see as an advantage but no necessary

  • Attention to detail.

  • Proactive In carrying out there day to day duties.
