Our client who are based in Co. Roscommon are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team.

This company is a well-established manufacturer in Roscommon. Noteworthy to mention they also have a strong presence through the island of Ireland.

In this role the main purpose will be to work closely with the Production Manager and the entire production team to ensure all production equipment is operating to maximum efficiency with minimum downtime.

This is a permanent position and the core working hours for the role is 8-5, Monday to Friday.

Your new job

Duties and responsibilities

• Carry out diagnosing, fault find and repair breakdowns.

• Ensure that there is minimal reaction time to machinery breakdown.

• Responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance in a planned and safe manner.

• Monitor energy and water consumption on a daily & weekly basis, identify reasons for positive and negative variations and implement the necessary corrective action.

• Pro-actively promote the correct use of all production machinery.

• Carry out reports and relay on to management.

What are we looking for?

• Trade Qualification as a Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter is a must.

• Electrical experience in an industrial background is a strong advantage.

• Awareness of GMP and production deadlines.

• An individual that has a proactive attitude to their work

• A strong communicator with the ability to work alongside other departments.
