Our client who are a leader in the Plastics Manufacturing sector and are based in County Westmeath, are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team.

In this role you will be reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager on site, and you will be responsible for carrying out an efficient maintenance of the sites production machinery and ensuring that all maintenance is carried out within expected regulations and timelines.

This role is a permanent opportunity and will operate on a Four-cycle shift pattern. Benefits included in the role are Employer pension and private medical insurance.

Duties and responsibilities

• Troubleshoot effectively Electrical, Mechanical and materials handling systems for injection and blow moulding machines.

• Carry out repairs on equipment such as grinders, conveyors and finishing cells as required.

• Responsible for preventative maintenance on production machinery

• Meticulously report any downtime/quality issues

• Involvement in improvement projects and any analysis on equipment

Requirements

• Qualified as a Maintenance Technician.

• Demonstrated experience working as a Maintenance Technician in a similar Manufacturing environment.

• The ability to deal with electrical and mechanical process issues.

• Effective communicator and the ability to work successfully in a team environment.

• Proactive approach in carrying out day to day duties.
