A leading organisation that provides innovative climate solutions to the country and is playing a significant role in helping Ireland reach its objective of becoming carbon neutral in the future, is currently seeking a committed and passionate Maintenance Manager for their renewable energy business unit.

As Maintenance Manager, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for meeting challenging maintenance, engineering, commercial, safety, environmental, quality, and personal development targets. You will be given full autonomy to lead and manage a group of core teams consisting of engineers and technicians with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and automation engineering. Your primary objective will be to manage assets effectively, achieve maximum plant availability and contribute to promoting green initiatives.
 

This is a permanent role with an excellent salary and package.
 

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities include:

• Effectively manage site assets to achieve maximum plant availability and efficiency, as well as, advancing green initiatives.
• Manage and lead the maintenance of plants ensuring alignment between Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that defined targets are achieved and the works are carried out safely.
• Manage strategic spare parts management alongside purchasing and contract management to meet the company standards.
• Lead the implementation of the Plant Business Management System and co-ordinating interfaces with customers, partners, regulatory authorities, and accreditation bodies.
• Develop a succession plan for the maintenance team and ensure associated people development plans are implemented.
• Manage maintenance schedules for teams and delegate tasks to relevant teams.
• Progress the ongoing development of the Maintenance team through good communication, involvement and teamwork ensuring that the team is motivated and skilled to meet the targets
• Lead and promote a culture of health and safety and ensure compliance with safe systems of work for employees and contractors.

 

What are we looking for?

BSc in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager / Lead in a large industrial plant
Excellent people management skills and a proven track record in managing motivating and developing personnel.
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills (written and oral).
• Ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
• A team player who can work well with others and influence colleagues in a positive manner.
• Possess IT skills and a good knowledge of the maintenance management system, including planning preventative maintenance and reporting.
