Our client who are an ambitious and progressive manufacturer in County Cavan are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join their team.

In this role you will be reporting to the Production Manager, and you will be responsible for the setup, installation, maintenance, and support of manufacturing equipment.

This role will operate between two shifts. 6-2 and 2-10. Additionally, this role will operate on a Monday to Friday basis. The role offers an attractive benefits package also.

Your new job

Duties and responsibilities

• Provide day to day engineering services in a busy high-speed manufacturing environment

• Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the equipment and machinery

• Trouble shoot and repair damaged or poor performing equipment

• Ensure that Maintenance documentation is up to date and relayed onto management

• Provide Technical feedback on the performance of the manufacturing line and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and yield output

• Follow up closely on Maintenance works carried out and ensure that they are in line with health and safety regulations and are running effectively

• Provide a proactive approach to problems that arise on the manufacturing line or on site in general

What are we looking for?

• To be a qualified Maintenance Fitter is a must

• Two years’ experience as a maintenance fitter in a manufacturing environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to come to a resolution quickly

• Proactive in there approach to carrying out work

• Awareness of manufacturing targets and the ability to work to tight deadlines

• Available to works days and evenings
