We are recruiting for a Logistics Analyst role for our client based in Co. Cavan. This company is renowned in the global market for the manufacturing of precision engineering products and is continually focusing on growth and expansion. This role provides you with an opportunity to contribute to this growth and expansion.

The company has a proven track record in distributing globally, within a network of 90 countries and 3000 distributors. You will be reporting to the Senior Logistics Analyst, and you will be predominately responsible for the group wide logistics.

This is an 18-month contract with a view for permanency for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will be available to work in our Cavan Office - there is additionally a hybrid option available.

Your new job

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Focusing on the creation and implementation of best Customer Service within supply chain, processes, and procedures to aid efficient operational performance

  • Management of the day-to-day logistics inbound and outbound tasks, revenue and customs compliance, invoice checks, freight quotes, Incoterms management and dealing with issues shipping into restricted/high risk regions

  • Collaborating regularly with 3pl service providers which involves price and service performance negotiations

  • Managing inventory within a manufacturing and distribution environment

  • Utilising SAP in line with the procurement team in relation to logistics and inventory planning data

  • Possess a proactive approach to improve the efficiency of all elements of the supply chain

  • Assisting with groupwide Supply chain and Procurement projects

  • Carry out any Ad-hoc duties as required

  • Involved in procurement of direct and indirect products and services

What are we looking for?

  • Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a Business Management discipline

  • Minimum of three years within a Logistics/Procurement and Supply Chain environment

  • Experience of working with SAP/4HANA, BI reporting and Microsoft suite

  • Understanding and experience working with 3pl service providers including price and service negotiations

  • Excellent in working under pressure and to tight deadlines in a supply chain environment

  • Possess a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a team environment to identify and introduce best practise in the supply chain process
