Matrix Recruitment is working with our client, who are a food production company, to hire a Laboratory Technician to join their team in Co. Offaly.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out Laboratory Testing and Sampling as required. You will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Your new job

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring product quality and compliance.

• Microbiological sampling and testing.

• Environmental testing to monitor compliance.

• Review Results Records Weekly and ensure all records are completed correctly and signed off where appropriate.

• Corrective & Preventative Action  & Non-Conforming Product Management

• Communicate with and report to customer requests for technical information.

• Implementing and maintaining HAACP and hygiene requirements.

• Assisting in the management of the Food Safety & Quality Management Systems.

• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and legislation.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in a Food Science/Food Technology or similar field.

• 1 year experience in a similar laboratory testing role is desirable.

• Experience in the food industry is essential with knowledge of regulatory standards.

• Ability to work off own initiative.

• Self-motivated, organised and a keen eye for detail.

• Proficient IT standards and good communication skills.
