What you need to know

​Matrix Recruitment is working with our client, a leading and renowned distillery based in Co. Offaly to hire a Lab Analyst to join their team.

As a Lab Analyst you will be responsible for the analysis of materials and finished products in accordance with standard procedures. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of laboratory analytical instrumentation ensuring accuracy and consistency of results and recording this information accurately and efficiently. You will report directly to the Lab Manger.

Your new job

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of materials and finished products through a range of parameters in accordance with procedures.

  • Ensuring samples are analysed and results are recorded and reported accurately.

  • Maintenance of laboratory instrumentation is carried out as per schedule. 

  • Investigation of liquid quality non-conformances product and processes with a focus on root cause and preventative action.

  • Comply with all WGW processes, standards, and guidelines in the role.

  • Supporting the delivery of project work carried out within the Technical Team. 

  • Liaise regularly with internal and external shareholders. 

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar background is desirable.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in relevant discipline is essential.

  • Experience in method development, method validation and data verification are essential.

  • An innovative person with a positive attitude.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

  • A keen eye for detail.
