What you need to know

I am recruiting for an IT Specialist for our client based in Co. Offaly. This company is globally recognised in medical device manufacturing. Additionally, always focussing on being innovative in the development of their products. This company is growing continually at an unprecedented rate, and they are looking for an individual that will be willing to develop and grow alongside the company’s expansion.

In this role you will report into the IS Manager, and you will be responsible for providing Level 1 and Level 2 IT Support on the County Offaly site. Please note that this role will involve travel to the Dublin site once a week.

The hour of this position is 8:30-4:45 PM on a Monday to Friday basis. The salary is earmarked at €40-42K per annum. Benefits included in the position is 23 days annual leave, VHI Healthcare and a Pension contribution after 6 months.

 

Your new job

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Involved in the set up of new hires in relation to PC equipment and phone queries.

  • Monitor Helpdesk system in place. Carry out an efficient and timely support desk side, phone or remotely.

  • Hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and limited end-user education.

  • Peripheral based IT support.

  • Utilise Windows Active directory, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Office 365, TCP/IP Protocols and Windows desktop/laptop systems.

  • Follow Company SOPs and keep in line with medical device regulations.

  • Take direction from the IS Manager and carry out any specific duties needed.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualification in relevant to IT.

  • 1-3 years' experience in a multi-site environment. Carrying out L1 and L2 IT support.

  • Exposure to a highly regulated Medical Devices manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in Active Directory, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Office 365, TCP/IP Protocols and Windows desktop/laptop systems.

  • Proactive attitude to their day to day work.
