Matrix Recruitment is recruiting for a Heavy Machine Operator for a full-time, permanent role based in Co. Meath.

You’ll be a key part of a busy recycling operation, managing machinery and supporting material handling and recovery activities across the yard and waste transfer area.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of heavy machinery including 360 track machines, loading shovels, sweepers, forklifts, and shunter trucks

• Grade and sort waste streams to ensure maximum material recovery

• Identify and remove non-conforming or contaminated waste items

• Support general yard operations including housekeeping and ad hoc manual tasks

• Carry out vehicle and equipment checks as required

• Ensure full compliance with all health and safety guidelines

• Maintain professional conduct at all times when dealing with colleagues and the public

What We Are Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience in a transport, recycling, or waste environment

• Experience with 360 excavators, forklifts, or loading equipment (licences desirable – training can be provided)

• Manual Handling and Safe Pass certification an advantage

• Proficient in spoken and written English

• Flexible and willing to work across multiple departments as needed

• Must be eligible to work in Ireland
