Job description

My client is a long-established manufacturing company supplying into the healthcare and industrial sector based in Co. Westmeath. They are looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This a newly created job.

This Management Accountant job reports into the Group Financial Controller to assist in the production of timely and accurate group accounting information and reports to assist senior management with decision making. Key Duties:

  • Preparation of consolidated cash forecast, debtors and creditors reporting

  • Supporting GFC in the implementation of further consolidated group reporting and periodic preparation thereafter

  • Maintaining strong collaborative relations with business unit Financial Controllers across the Group to support timely production of consolidated group reporting in line with group reporting deadlines

  • Responsibility for timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts for group companies

  • Responsibility for related Revenue, CSO and CRO compliance

  • Maintaining related VAT compliance

  • Preparation of annual budget and forecasts for group companies

  • Preparation for and engagement with external Auditors for group companies

  • Liaise with advisors to ensure group companies tax reporting obligations are met on time

  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Accountant; ACA, ACCA, CIMA

  • Ideally 2-3 years post qualified with experience in a manufacturing company,  ideally trained in  Top Ten Firm is an advantage.

  • Experience in making timely ROS, CSO, CRO returns. 

  • Excellent PC Skills and strong excel skills required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with diverse groups of individuals.

  • Highly motivated self-starter and able to work on own initiative.

  • Proven ability to operate as part of a team and manage people.

  • Ability to work under pressure.
