Our client, a very successful manufacturing company based in Co. Cavan. Our client is part of an international group with operations right across Europe.

They are keen to hire a Financial Controller to join the finance team for their Cavan manufacturing site. As Financial Controller you will lead and manage the finance function. You will be part of the management team.

Your new job

Key duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual statutory accounts and reports/act as a key point of contact for external auditors.

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts in line with Group Reporting requirements

• Ensure quality control on financial accounting and reporting.

• Monitor business performance by adequate KPI’s and variance analysis.

• Work closely with Site Management and Division Finance Function to identify and solve Controlling aspects of the business.

• Preparation of annual budgets/financial planning

• Responsibility for VAT process.

• Analysis and sign off, of monthly/weekly payroll.

What are we looking for?

• Qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA with 5 years + post-qualification experience.

• At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing sector.

• Excellent IT Skills, strong excel and Sap is ideal.

• Strong commercial and people management experience.

• Track record of process improvement & cost saving initiatives.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Proven track record of achievement.
