Matrix Recruitment is working with our client, who are a leading Meat Production company to hire a Farm Manager to manage its pig production site in Co. Laois.

As a Farm Manager, you will be responsible for the managing and overseeing all production aspects of the farm on a daily basis. You will ensure that the team is working efficiently, and all goals and quotas are being met.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a farming background to be part of a renowned company and join an excellent team in a fast-paced environment. Our client is offering an excellent salary and additional benefits.

This is a permanent position with an immediate start.

Your new job

Responsibilities:

• Manage the production aspect of the farm and while maintaining and improving performance and best practice.

• Managing all aspects of Health & Safety on the farm on a daily basis.

• Managing the team and implementing a strong training programme for new and existing staff.

• Managing and recording all production records in an accurate and timely manner.

• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements such as DAFM and EPA.

• Communicating regularly with other management to ensure standards are being maintained and goals and deadlines are being met.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a similar farming environment is essential.

• A formal qualification would be an advantage.

• Good communication and leadership qualities.

• Time and People Management skills.

• Previous experience in managing a team.

• Problem solving skills.
