What you need to know:

Our client, a reputable and globally renowned medical devices company based in Co. Westmeath is currently seeking a Facilities Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will work within the engineering department and will be responsible for the design specification, procurement, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of plant equipment and services on site that support manufacturing operations.


This is a permanent role with an excellent salary and package that offers hybrid working.
 

Your New Job

Responsibilities & duties:

  • Leads plant engineering and corporate programs including mechanical integrity, energy conservation, and refrigerant compliance.

  • Implements project plans for new or existing equipment and facilities.

  • Determines the root cause failure analysis of equipment failures and develops preventative maintenance procedures injunction with the maintenance department.

  • Support the installation and repairs of equipment on site to ensure continuous safe operation.

  • Liaise with external vendors and contracts to ensure that supplies and work carried out is complying with quality and regulatory standards.

 

What are we looking for?

  • A Degree in a Technical discipline, with relevant experience in a similar role or Diploma / Senior Trades cert.

  • Prior experience preferable in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Management and operation of clean room environment in conjunction with building management systems experience.

  • Maintenance and troubleshooting experience of the following systems and processes - HVAC, Compressed air, Water systems, Preventative maintenance scheduling, Process gases, power distribution, and Fire Suppression System.

  • Established knowledge of cGMP and safety standards applicable to a facility and clean room/controlled environment and associated manufacturing processes and procedures.

  • Good problem-solving abilities – able to identify facts, consider a number of alternative approaches and evaluate the most appropriate course of action.

  • Team and results orientated - committed and energetic approach to work with a positive attitude.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
