Matrix Recruitment is seeking candidates for an Electrical Technician role with our key manufacturing client, based in County Kildare.
Commutable from counties: Kildare, Laois, Carlow & Kilkenny
This is a full-time, hands-on role ensuring plant & equipment are maintained while supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Your New Role
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Troubleshooting – Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on high-speed, PLC-controlled plant and packaging equipment.
Preventative Maintenance – Execute and improve the preventative maintenance programme, minimising downtime and recurring issues.
Compliance & Safety – Ensure all work follows GMP, HACCP, ATEX, and safety standards (including LOTO, confined space, etc.).
Collaboration – Work closely with production teams, contractors, and other departments to support plant performance & continuous improvement.
What You Need:
Time-served Electrician with QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft.
5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Allen Bradley), SCADA systems.
Familiarity with ATEX zoned areas and electro-mechanical process plant.
Positive, proactive, and flexible team player.
