Our client based in Co. Westmeath is hiring a Demand Planner.

This company is a Global operation manufacturing medical device products. The company is on an exciting new venture, it's a great job opportunity to be part of the company’s next period of growth.

They are hiring a Demand Planner to join the Supply Chain Team. This will suit an experienced Planner with at least 5 years' experience. The Demand Planner will have responsibility for managing the planning aspects of the product life cycle of new products and to end of life.

This is a permanent job with hybrid work on offer.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities: 

  • Participate in the Integrated Business Planning process with a focus on the alignment between the demand plan and the business plan.

  • Oversee demand planning exceptions related to out of control demand, forecast bias, unusual month to date demand. 

  • Oversee the demand planning aspects of the product life cycle new products, end of life, and phase-in / phase-out.

  • Responsible for gathering and applying Market Intelligence to the demand plan.  

  • Optimize statistical forecast in Demand Planning tool. 

  • Monitor forecast performance metrics tools to measure accuracy and take actions accordingly. 

  • Maintain data integrity in the demand planning system.  

  • Forecasting Finished goods for EMEA region. 

  • Responsible for project management initiatives 

  • Support the Supply and Production Planning organisation through key inputs for development of inventory strategies.  

 

What are we looking for?

  • 3rd Level Degree in Business/Supply Chain or related discipline. APICS/IIPIM desirable.

  • At least 5 years manufacturing experience in buying, planning and inventory within manufacturing.

  • Strong MRP/ERP system experience and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications especially excel.

  • Knowledge of demand and DRP planning tools is a distinct advantage.

  • Knowledge of forecasting techniques and statistics. 

  • You must have strong communication and negotiating skills along with excellent organisation/time management skills.   

  • Must have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment while demonstrating initiative to lead in other projects.
