What you need to know

Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a CONTINOUS IMPROVEMENT LEAD for our client, based in the KILDARE County.

This is a permanent role, commutable from Carlow, Laois, Newbridge, Naas areas.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate should prioritize customer satisfaction, work closely with the Plant Manager & CI team, collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, excel in Project Mgtment & have an innovative & goal-orientated approach to problem-solving. 

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Lead production system implementation onsite.

  • Define CIP parameters, identify areas for improvement, and create clear action plans.

  • Secure employee commitment for proactive change.

  • Report CIP progress to Plant Manager and CI region.

  • Implement performance indicators and form focus groups.

  • Act as a local ambassador for operational excellence initiatives.

  • Manage the continuous-improvement program and savings plan locally.

  • Implement sustainable solutions by improving policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Provide guidance to managers on communication and Lean behaviour change.

  • Teach Lean techniques like Problem Solving, 5S, Standard Work, and more.

 

What are we looking for?

·        Relevant 3rd Level Qualification- Technical/Engineering.

·        Certified Green or Black-Belt.

·        Successful manufacturing background, specialising in Production

·        Successful manufacturing background, specializing in Production or Continuous Improvement, with demonstratable Lean expertise.

·        Ability to identify improvement opportunities.

·        Ability to coach and develop people.

·        Change management experience & HR programs.

·        Project Management experience.

·        Good IT Skills MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc.)

·        Strong interpersonal skills & organisational skills- ability to build relationships with external & internal stakeholders.
