​Matrix Recruitment is working with our client to hire a Civil Engineer to join their team in Co. Offaly.

As a Civil Engineer,you will work with a team of engineers to promote continuous improvement and cost effectiveness, while also supporting the lean and timely delivery of technical solutions. You will also be involved in Civil & Structural Engineering projects, Decommissioning projects, and other required projects. You will report to the Lead Civil Engineer.

This is a great opportunity for a Civil Engineer to work within a strong team and new and excitingprojects. Our client is offering an excellent salary and benefits.

This is a fixed term contract position for 2 years.

Your New Job

• Supporting the delivery of Civil Engineering projects, Rehabilitation and Decommissioning Projects and any other required projects.

• Ensuring all services and projects are delivered in a timely manner and meet all regulatory health & safety standards. 

• Solving technical problems and providing cost effective solutions to meet company requirements to improve productivity and cost.

• Appraising and monitoring all elements of design, manufacture processing, construction and maintenance to minimise life cycle costs while ensuring these meet all codes of practice, legislation and regulatory requirements. 

• Supervising construction of engineering works and contractor activities on site. 

• Monitor and analyse project progress including individual and overall cost elements. 

• Co-operate fully with all provisions to ensure Health & safety of all people using the premises

• Recording and documenting data, work in progress and quality of materials to ensure accurate reliable information is documented and available. 

• Proactively participating in the Performance Management process to help achieve goals and objectives.

What are we looking for

• A Level 8 Civil Engineering Degree is essential. 

• Strong knowledge of AutoCad, Microsoft Office and GIS and Surveying

• Team player with the ability to work on own initiative. 

• A full clean Driving Licence is essential. 

• Civil Engineering design, contract documentation, project management capabilities and construction costing skills. 

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Problem solving skills.

• Flexibility and a positive mindset to new challenges.
